Ger Elettronica, simulation of the tanning process

GER ELETTRONICA, headquartered in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza), will display at the Tanning Tech Show the new Be.Process tanning process analysis system combined with the evolution of BE.TRACE, also chosen by the jury for the EuroCongress at the Vicenza Fair

“In Milan there will be some surprises, but always according to our corporate vision: process control, data and process analysis focusing on circularity and resources and energy recovery.” These will be the main topics that Ger Elettronica, based in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza) and specialized in the design and production of tannery machinery and machines for measuring leather, will present at the Tanning Tech Show, scheduled September 20 – 22. At the end of June, we interviewed Cesare Dal Monte, director of the company, during ProssimaPelle, held in Santa Croce sull’Arno (Pisa), at the company’s stand. “At the Fiera in Milan – stated Dal Monte – where will have the same space as last year, we will showcase BE.PROCESS, the new system for analyzing the tanning process based on the generation and interpretation of data. In particular, we will simulate part of the process, equipped with our systems, to show how “by reading the leather” we generate the data that are subsequently displayed through software and then analyzed. We will also display the evolution of BE.TRACE, the GER system for the traceability of the single leather within the tanning process. Through its use we are able to mark the leather in the phase chosen by the customer and follow it along the tanning process. The BE.TRACE system will also be the protagonist at the EuroCongress in Vicenza: our work, chosen by the jury, will be displayed for the entire duration of the exhibition in a showcase that can be viewed by visitors.” As always, Ger Elettronica attended ProssimaPelle. “Since the beginning we have believed in this event – explains the director – we were part of the group that participated in the first historic edition. Obviously, we will also attend the event in Arzignano, which is part of the district of our headquarters. We believe that participating to local events is important, as these smaller fairs are more linked to the territory. Undoubtedly the Arzignano edition, being scheduled in autumn, will boast better climatic conditions.”
Regarding the market trend, Dal Monte specifies that “at Milano fair we will collect more precise answers, especially with regard to foreign countries. Talking with some colleagues in Santa Croce, I had the confirmation that China is still at a standstill. It is necessary to understand if the reason is linked to the pandemic, or if there is a logic in place to limit entry to foreigners, to facilitate the development of technologies within the country. They have imported enough technology from the West, hence the “gap” once existing between the West and China, has shrunk considerably and now they could go on on their own.”
