Plaginsa celebrates its history, 40 years of success and quality in the footwear sector

2023 represents an important date for Plaginsa. The company, leader in Spain and one of the main producers in the world of rubber and EVA plates for shoe soles, is celebrating the prestigious milestone of the first forty years since its foundation.
Located in Alicante, one of the main footwear manufacturing hubs in Europe, Plaginsa was founded in 1983 by Gaspar Navarro Mora, father of the current CEO Javier Navarro, and today it is internationally known for its reliability, professionalism and passion. Its management model is based on innovation, flexibility and obviously on a deep know-how; the company stands out for its commitment to research and development of cutting-edge technologies and processes, highquality materials and eco-sustainable solutions. Thanks to the skill and expertise of its team, it confirms itself as a reliable partner for shoe factories all over the world, and guarantees high standards of comfort, sustainability and performance.
Product diversification and internationalization – as well as the group’s flexibility and its efforts to offer a prompt response to market demands – have allowed Plaginsa, during the pandemic period, to remain a solid business and face the crisis with optimism, looking with success of reaching new markets and always creating new job opportunities.
Plaginsa has always been attentive to environmental issues, and with the production of its eco-friendly and high-performance soles, it is always looking for high-performance materials, but with the lowest environmental impact. The company feature several ecological lines: Biocrep, Ecocrep, Ecocuer, Evacork and Woodcrep, in which all items are free of formaldehyde, phthalates, PAHs and comply with the strict European regulations on safety and the environment. Some of these lines boast up to 30% recycled material, and a study is underway that aims to combine compounds such as ground almond shells, wood regrind from old recycled pallets, cork powder from ground corks.
However, it would be wrong to think of Plaginsa only as a manufacturer in the footwear sector. As a matter of fact, the activities of the Spanish company are developed in the most varied sectors, from fashion to construction, supplying soles for footwear, but also panels for acoustic insulation and flooring for the fitness sector.
With its 40 years of dedication to excellence, Plaginsa is an example of how innovation, sustainability and flexibility can be key to a successful corporate future.
