The company is led by a team of highly specialised professionals who have made quality and precision their trademark. Minucoop has earned a prominent place in the small metal parts industry thanks to its attention to detail and its ability to meet the diverse needs of its customers, including in the world of safety, as its Manager Graziano Ennio explains.
How long have you been operating in the Work&Safety world?
“Our company has always operated in this sector, but today the market for safety footwear is constantly evolving. In the past, the product range was limited to a few items, such as hooks, rivets and buckles. Today, however, new products such as eyelets, stainless steel items and rivets with superior performance are becoming more popular. These new products meet the chemical regulations and restrictions that the market imposes. Even the safety sector, which was previously regarded as the recipient of simple and standardized, is evolving. Products are more sophisticated and design-oriented, and are often branded. In conclusion, the safety footwear market is growing and continues to improve. Operators in the sector today face two major challenges: sustainability and regulatory compliance.”
How important is this sector for Minucoop?
“Minucoop has experienced significant growth in the Safety sector, from 4-5% to 10%. We are establishing relationships with several shoe factories and safety footwear manufacturers, for which we are producing samples. Our products have been highly valued by several customers, and we expect to launch innovations in our production of small parts for the world of work and safety. The production of these articles is complex, as they have to meet specific mechanical
requirements and must pass stress, corrosion and safety tests.”
What kind of approach do you take with client companies?
“Acquiring a client in this sector requires a long journey. You have to understand their needs, their standards, and then meet their demands with your own production capacity. Our advantage is that we are a flexible company. We can intervene in real time on production, thanks to the tools of the company that allow us to change industrial cycles to meet the needs of each specific aspect.”
What kind of change have you implemented to meet the demands of the Safety world?
“First of all, the company made a paradigm shift, a change of mentality, moving from a traditional approach to a more flexible and innovative one. This change was necessary to meet the needs of clients, who are increasingly demanding and diversified. In particular, we developed new items specifically for the medical market, which required a major investment in terms of resources and expertise. These products have been a success, proving that our new strategy is effective. We believe that companies must be willing to change and adapt to new market needs. Differentiation is crucial to compete in an increasingly competitive environment.”
Sports footwear companies are increasingly orienting their production towards the Safety sector, contaminating it with a more distinct stylistic approach. How does Minucoop respond to this type of demand?
“Minucoop responds to this type of demand with a range of products that combine safety, performance and elegant, modern design. Our long experience in the fashion world has allowed us to develop a strong stylistic understanding. We are able to meet any customisation request, thanks to our extensive experience in this field. Our products designed for the Work&Safety sector are also reinforced to guarantee maximum safety and performance during application. In fact, as a guarantee of our professionalism, we offer a complete after-sales service, in collaboration with the workshops that handle the final application.”
How do you guarantee this?
“I put the technical department in direct communication with the sales department. The salesman reports requests to the technician, who responds immediately. Communication must be two-way and always efficient. I want our customers to feel safe and secure. I am convinced that the client-supplier relationship is outdated now, we are all partners, working together to achieve a common goal.”
