At Simac Tanning Tech NEXUS, headquartered in Montorso, launched the new automatic leather stacking system for the tanning industry featuring a revolutionary technology
“The market is increasingly demanding and companies like ours have to keep up. Our venture is called ‘Big Brother’, the new automatic leather stacking system for the tanning industry will be the big news for 2024 and the following years.” This is what Mirco Roncolato told us at the stand during the September edition of Simac Tanning Tech. Together with Luca Fracasso, Roncolato is the co-owner and partner of the company Nexus, based in the Arzignano district, specialized in the design and production of electrical and electronic equipment for the automation of plants and machines specifically intended for the tanning industry, but also extended into other business sectors.
“In this historical period,” Roncolato pointed out, “the client demands the best solution, which means having a functioning and tested end product in their hands. With the ‘Big Brother’ we are sure to give a strong and innovative answer: it is a revolutionary technology compared to traditional stackers because it performs the same function in less space and without operator intervention. We have been testing it for two years in several tanneries, on different types and sizes of leather, to understand and solve any problems, if any. We believe that next one could be the year of the ‘definitive take-off’, we did not want to rush things because we are convinced that it is a great project, obviously patented, capable of imposing itself on the Italian and foreign markets.”
One of the winning strategies of Nexus, a company founded in 1998, now in its 25th year, is the close relationship with clients and partners.
“We trust them,” adds the entrepreneur, “especially those who favor cutting-edge technology; after all, machines must always evolve. We primarily try to bring innovation, while listening to their requests, and ideas are also derived from their needs. The most popular is machine performance, in particular speed, lower consumption and ease of use, because more and more machines can ‘guide’ the operator. Our company policy is focused on the needs of the entrepreneur and of the tanner who has to take care of production.”
“Among our customers we rank many tanneries, but as Nexus is a ‘system integrator’ we also operate in other sectors. Given our presence in the tanning district of Arzignano, we have developed a series of products that have allowed us to evolve and help local entrepreneurs. With foreign countries, the work is well underway; previously we focused on Italian districts including Santa Croce in Tuscany and Solofra in Campania. We are working with important brands that believe in us, the main goal is not to disappoint them, which is why we are very focused on what we do. Before launching a product on the market, we test it for a long time to be sure of its efficiency.”
Finally, a review of the 2023 edition of Tanning Tech. “It is always important for us to be there,” concludes the owner of Nexus, “because we have customers both in the production sector and among machine builders; these are two categories that turn to us for innovation, especially in demanding the most advanced electronic solutions. It is no coincidence that our company invests a large part of its turnover in staff training: after a relatively short period, anyone working with us is a trained technician. We are growing.”
