From an artisan hub specialising in trekking and leisure footwear, the Castelcucco (Tv) company Grisport has grown in the sector, adopting advanced technologies, investing in innovation and research, and developing patents for the construction of membranes and high-performance materials. To the point of becoming a Made in Italy icon in the world.
At the fair, Grisport brought existing collections and presented new projects. It was Giovanni Grigolato, from the new technology Development sector of the company, who spoke to us about it.
“The A+A Düsseldorf trade fair for us focused on refining and renewing some existing collections and presenting a specific line for contracts, with features dedicated to the world of Law Enforcement, Military and Police. In addition, together with the company W.L. Gore, we presented the ‘Extraguard’ project, which aims to provide improved breathability in all situations, always guaranteeing total waterproofing.
The A+A fair is always satisfying, both from the point of view of the visitors and the synergy created with the clients. For Grisport, it is a fundamental point of reference for the presentation of new technologies, new collections and new projects relating to the world of work safety, contracts and everything connected with these sectors.
Also thanks to this trade fair, we have found that there is definitely a market for footwear in the safety footwear sector, as there are many, for different sectors. The Grisport shoes, for example, are aimed at a wide range of workers: from those engaged in ‘lighter’ jobs, such as plumbing, to ‘heavier’ jobs, such as those carried out on construction sites. In addition to the Italian market, our Safety shoes are mainly sold in the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway and France.
I would like to add that Grisport is a company that is very attentive to the latest trends in the world of fashion, and this also applies to safety shoes. We have boots, belonging to the “Active Pro” line, which have bright and cheerful colours, but which also differ in foot comfort and ultra-lightness. In addition, the company tries to meet the needs of the client more and more by also producing customised and/or personalised footwear.”
