That’s the word on which Bicap is building its development strategy

Glocalization is a term used in many contexts (environment, education, business, economy, etc.), often with different interpretations. Calzaturificio 5bi Srl, which has been producing and distributing the BICAP brand for three generations, has used the original essence of this term, placing it at the center of its Multiannual Strategic Development Plan: “Thinking global and acting locally”. Thinking ‘Glocal’ for Bicap means having a tailor-made approach to single markets and to the local needs of its customers, without however ever losing the global vision of the project. This approach allowed Calzaturificio 5bi srl in 2021 to produce and distribute over 1 million pairs of safety shoes, reaching 62 countries around the world. In a recent 2022 Export Champions chart published by Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with Statica, the Calzaturificio 5bi was ranked 23rd nationally and 1st in its own region (Apulia) in the textile & fashion sector with a 91.99% export rate on about 20 million of annual turnover. Bicap is not a mere brand of safety footwear, as it’s made un by many features: know-how, experience, professionalism, passion for the made-in-Italy label, craftsmanship, innovation, quality, respect for the environment. All of these values are the result of over 40 years of history that enabled the glocal approach to business, a part already existing in the company’s DNA. Within the Calzaturificio 5bi, the R&D department has also entrusted the Glocal approach for the development of new products. The model Stelvio S3 HRO SRC, that will be presented at the Expoprotection 2022 fair in Paris, is a result of this philosophy. The Glocal spirit of the Bicap project will also be outlined in the e-commerce platform that will soon be launched at European level.
