Fenice, captivating texture

Innovation in the name of quality, respecting the environment. This is the mission of Fenice, a Veneto-based industrial group specialized in the chemical sector applied to the finishing, care and conservation of leather and its byproducts. Relying on a 50-year experience acquired in daily contact with the most advanced footwear, leather goods and tanning companies, the company, headquartered in the province of Vicenza, is constantly working on the creation and development of items able to anticipate market trends and variations in a sustainable way. Among the news presented, two products stand out, designed to enrich the performance and texture of leather items: the polyurethane binder Satin Feel and the HS 5750 edge-dying from the TCL series.
“We are testing our polyurethanes from renewable sources for the tannery sector also in the world of leather goods and footwear,” explains Tiberio Peripoli, manager of the Shoe & Leathergoods Finishing division. Satin Feel is a highly concentrated polyurethane binder resulting in a pleasantly matte finish, extremely uniform, with a silky and velvety touch, and boasting very high resistance to bending, rubbing and wear. The products of the Satin Feel series are suitable as a self-fixing covering item, or as a filler base for buffed, impregnated leathers. Depending on the intended use, they are applicable by spray or roller coater. The Satin Feel RS version contains renewable vegetable-based matter.
“The new TCL edge-dying for leather goods summarizes in a single product the top items of our Section Lacquer®,” says Tiberio Peripoli: high concentration means great filling power, persistent adhesion, excellent flexibility. The easiness of application (one / two coats are enough, depending on the absorption power of the leather) and the drying rapidity optimize processing times and costs, reducing consumption, waste and machinery needed. Practical, fast, performing, it is available in several colors, all with a neutral base.
