The 45th Fimec (International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries) is confirmed to take place in person (live event) from March 8th to 10th, 2022, at Fenac’s pavilions, in Novo Hamburgo/RS, Brazil.
From production to logistics, the fair will present novelties in hides and skins, chemical products, components, machines, technology and innovation for the entire sector. It is recognized as the only fair in the world that brings together the entire operation of the leather-footwear sector in one single location. With the motto “The only one that has everything to create tomorrow”, Fimec will show an increasingly sustainable leather-footwear industry, one that is attentive to different market behaviors.
As the largest fair in the sector in Latin America, for three days, Fimec will bring together hundreds of exhibitors with product, technology and service launches, as well as thousands of highly qualified visitors, providing the ideal environment for prospecting and closing business deals. “We will be back together at Fimec 2022 to reveal the strength that the leather-footwear sector truly has. We are doing great business, resuming strategic contacts and nothing is better than this large fair, which brings together the entire sector, to highlight our strength”, comments Kitty Schmitt, the fair’s coordinator.
For the CEO of Fenac, Marcio Jung, Fimec 2022 will be the greatest meeting of the leather-footwear sector in Latin America. “We, at Fenac, expect a great flow of shoemaker and tanner visitors from the producing countries in Latin America that traditionally seek technology and innovation at Fimec. 2022 will be a really special year with the presentation of new technologies aimed at sustainability with more economical machines and processes in terms of consumption of raw material and energy”, explains Jung. He also comments that the production of inputs in Latin America goes through distribution within Fimec. “Coming to the fair means getting to know the main sources to guarantee the production of Latin American shoes. There’s no way you can be left out of this great event!”, he adds.
Among the confirmed sponsors and exhibitors, Covestro, one of the greatest manufacturers of raw materials for the footwear segment in the world, firmly believes in Fimec’s competitive potential to connect with large companies. “Fimec is a benchmark that brings together the main players in the market and gives us the opportunity to present to the Brazilian and Latin American market the newest technologies available worldwide, mainly with a focus on circular economy and sustainability”, highlights Silvio Hernandes Torres, director of Covestro’s sales and market development team. The Brazilian market is extremely important for the multinational company, which aims to show the most innovative, as well as sustainable technologies and materials that can also contribute to making the Brazilian industry more competitive.
