Gusbi, trade fairs, an indispensable international showcase

Founded in 1946, Gusbi is now an established leader in the production of polyurethane molding machines for the footwear sector and many other markets. The company, is currently run by the family’s third generation, represented by Irene Bianchi, head of the Sales Department.

“We’ve been through two difficult years but it is nice, finally, to take part in an event outside the Italian borders” these the words of Irene Bianchi, whom we met at the company’s stand at the last edition of A+A Düsseldorf. Here, the company has showcased its range of machinery further upgraded for the footwear sector. This market segment accounts for 50% of Gusbi’s turnover, which focuses on constant improvement of its machines in order to better satisfy the customer: “Our work relies on projects and commissions. Therefore, the whole processing cycle is aimed at fully grasping the clientele’s needs and at turning
them into a bespoke article, monitored and improved constantly. As a matter of fact, each demand may entail a potential suggestion for the steady, gradual upgrading of machines, and it may even come from a different sector to be applied to another.”
The company, based in Vigevano, firmly believes in the importance of trade fairs, as a showcase to catch the new customers’ attention or to strengthen existing business relationships: “As far as travel restrictions allow, we are participating in all the fairs that are taking place – concludes Irene Bianchi, – as we believe they’re a useful and necessary tool to keep a strong foothold in various end markets and countries, in which, fortunately, we can also count on technical personnel that we have trained ourselves. The human relationship makes the difference and direct contact and live interactions with customers can never be replaced by digital meetings and conferences.”
The Gusbi brand innovation keeps on arousing great interest, and, despite the problems linked to the prices increase and the shortage of raw materials, especially electrical and electronic ones, the company pursues its objectives, many of which are aimed at reducing the environmental impact – as the achievement of the coveted Green Tag promoted by Assomac – with enthusiasm, dynamism and determination.
