Nastrotex-Cufra, New goals for the future

For almost 70 years Nastrotex-Cufra, founded by Mario and Francesco Cucchi in 1953, has been producing elastic tapes for footwear, clothing, underwear and sportswear in materials such as polyester, cotton, linen or special fibers, also providing a customized service making tapes with drawings, logos or lettering.

Established on the worldwide markets, the company is now renowned and appreciated not only by small and medium sized companies, but also by international haute couture brands, in the lookout for high quality, performing products, in line with the latest fashion trends and ecologically friendly. In recent years, the latter aspect has been one of the main focuses of Nastrotex’s research, aimed at a sustainable development through the use of alternative energy and modern processing technologies: over time, the company has achieved several certifications, including UNI EN ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX standard 100, GRS – Global Recycled Standard and, recently, ISO 14001, a great milestone reached following the review of some internal processes and premises upgrading. These certifications are now a must for companies as important as Nastrotex, since, especially in the fashion sector, some requirements have become indispensable to be competitive in the market.
The investment plan focused on energy and water saving is the result of the company’s constant commitment to sustainable development aimed at zero impact, which will see further improvements to the facilities in the coming years, to ensure greater well-being for the staff, as well as the replacement of the current engines of the 170 frameworks of which the company is equipped, with new, more performing and sustainable models.
A considerable impact, therefore, on the entire ecosystem, for a corporate whose products meet the highest quality standards, being also technically performing and always in line with current fashion trends.
