Spraytech, “In Milan, trade operators from all over the world. We are confident for 2024”

The top management of Spraytech are very satisfied with the results of Tanning Tech held last September. The pleasing news of the return of Chinese operators

“Very satisfying” is the assessment of the 2023 edition of Simac Tanning Tech, hosted at the Milan Fairgrounds last September 19-21, according to the top management of Spraytech, headquartered in Gambellara (Vicenza province), a city of the Arzignano tanning district, specialized in the design and manufacture of paint distribution plants and systems, flow regulators, booths and complete and fully automated lines. The stand of the Veneto- based company, which a few weeks earlier had attended the international exhibition ACLE in China, was visited by numerous Italian and foreign operators, in particular from the East and South America.
“At this edition,” Stefano Mastrotto, the CEO of the company, confirmed, “we have witnessed the return of foreigners from all over the world. In the months leading up to the start of the event there was some uncertainty and pessimism, but the reality turned out to be different. Right from the first day there was a considerable turnout and just as much interest, in the end we can say that the result was largely positive, not only at Simac Tanning Tech but also at Lineapelle. It is essential to see many operators, even from the Americas and South Africa, perhaps just for a day: it means that the ‘wheels are starting to turn again’, we are really positive about it. In particular, in the two weeks leading up to the Milan fair the mood was more ‘buzzing’ than usual, and the encouraging signs in the second half of the year also make us confident in view of 2024. That’s when we will launch some new products, keeping on carrying out our R&D activities.” This is not the only positive note. “We were pleased to witness the return of the Chinese,” adds the Managing Director of Spraytech, “ as they represent an important market for our company. Even the trade fair that they organized in China, after two years of interruption due to the health pandemic, was met with general skepticism, but in the end a significant number of visitors was registered: we had started with low expectations, but in the end, we had to think again. It is also significant that after organizing an international fair in their own country, just two weeks before, many of the same operators came to Milan, even as exhibitor: it is an important sign, we hope it stands for a global recovery. Undoubtedly in this period the Chinese have started to produce many products domestically, however they continue to recognize the added value of the Made-in-Italy, in particular the large companies appreciate the quality of what we do. In China they are doing well, for us this is positive news, we believe in the potential, also in terms of purchases, from this enormous country.” Spraytech made a clear choice about what it displayed at Tanning Tech in September: “This year we did not bring a complete machine to the stand,” concludes Mastrotto, “choosing instead to showcase the two latest spray guns, with a brand-new option. The SP-Rock, seen at the fair last year, went well in the Italian market, now we are launching it abroad. The SP- Rock spray guns are revolutionary as they work at an even lower pressure, causing less dispersion of chemicals. Nonetheless, as it is a ‘premium’ product, in certain markets it is not understood by tanning entrepreneurs. We therefore reproduced the same concept in another model of spray gun, but built with different materials, so that it would be appealing to all segments of potential clients.”
