Forty years of history and one mission: to make functional first- layer work underwear, selecting only the finest fibres. This is how Worik Zero3 introduces itself in its manifesto. A manufacturer of technical socks and technical underwear, the company is careful to transfer Made in Italy quality to the design of its products as well.
We spoke with Jacopo Pea, CEO of Zero3 for the Worik brand, who told us about a fair made of opportunities and possible synergies.
“At this edition of A+A, we presented our categories of personal protective equipment: socks and underwear certified flame retardant (EN 11612 certification) and antistatic (EN 1149 certification) for users in the gas/ oil and industrial sectors. The fabrics of these products provide protection against thermal hazards caused by exposure to heat sources (convective/ radiant or open flame) and dissipation of electrostatic charges that can generate sparks for those working in handling flammable substances. In addition, we brought in anti- cold products (EN14058 certification) to protect against the effects of environments colder than -5 °C for the industrial cold logistics sector.
The fair was an opportunity to consolidate existing relationships, with the initiation of some new contacts that we are working on. Certainly coming off a strong two- year period for the sector, which ended with a slowing second half of 2023, we saw a general decline in participation.
The Security market is a market with its own needs, such as the demand for specific certifications. Affecting it are the sectors in which PPE is used. The sectors driving demand right now are the target audiences: large gas/oil and cold food logistics. They define demand and supply, to which we adapt. In addition, very interesting insights arose at the fair with respect to new products that we will be working on, thanks to dynamic discussions with technical figures in the industry.”
